Charlotte Hobbs Parker, age 96, died Friday, April 13, 2018 in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.

Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Woodland Page Hobbs and Annie Leigh Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alfred Parker, Jr. “Pinky” in 1995, and son, James Edwin Parker in 2004.

She is survived by her son, Charles Michael Parker and daughter-in-law, Gloria Parker, of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, and daughter-in-law, Felicia Johnson Parker of Monkton, Maryland.

There are seven grandchildren, Karin and Alicia Parker, Tasia, Margee, Suzie, Charlie and Jimmy Parker, and nine great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, William Page Hobbs and his wife, Barbara, of Salisbury, sister-in-law, Aften “Mickey” Hobbs of Salt Lake City, Utah, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Edwin Hobbs.

Ocean City and her family were her passions as was her sewing and stitching work. Many grandchildren grew up wearing her creations.

Over her lifetime she contributed much to the Ocean City community. Charlotte was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, member of the Dune’s Club, and served on the Worcester County Election Board for many years.

She also owned and operated the Beacon Apartments in Ocean City.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. Matthew D’Amario officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin.
