Robert Henry Brennan, “Bob,” age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Annapolis, Maryland.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Mary Brennan. Bob was preceded in death by his two sons, David and Stephen Merritt.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Mulvey) Brennan, and children William (Laura) Kocan of Crofton, Maryland, Deanna Kocan of Ocean Pines, Maryland, and Colleen Brennan of San Diego, California.

He was affectionately known as “Pop” to his six grandchildren, Jon, Mike, Kelly, Johanna, Jake and Joliette, as well as great-grandson, Cameron.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy before working for the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, as the 401K plan administrator. He attended Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City, was an active member of the Berlin/Ocean City Optimist Club and the Worcester County Democratic Club.

Bob’s quick wit, sense of humor, and gregarious personality ensured that he never met a stranger. His family and friends will remember him for his generous spirit, his colorful storytelling and endearing New England accent.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City, Maryland at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Stanislau Esposito will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Bob may be directed to support either R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at University of Maryland, or the Brain Injury Association of Maryland. Letters of condolence may be sent via: www.burbagefuneralhome.com.
